Clevelands Fans Time To Move On!

The recent Cleveland Indians game a fan was escorted from the game for wearing the new LeBron James jersey to the game after receiving some offensive remarks. First he got what he deserves for wearing a basketball jersey to a baseball game and especially a jersey from a team the had no meaning for the two cities. A Miami Heat jersey at a Indians versus Yankees game with the Cavaliers former player on it he just wanted his 15 minutes of fame that was quite ignorant. Personally wearing wearing any jersey to any game that does not represent that sport is a mockery unless it is your hometown and you are giving respect to Legends and I mean Legends. If you want to come to a game with a jersey on besides the team that's playing make it worth it show up wearing a Reggie Jackson or Jim Brown jersey not Amare Stoudemire or Mo Williams

The NBA HasTo Step Up

The NBA is in big trouble when the NFL draft is getting more attention than their playoffs. They better bring out the Kobe Bryant and LeBron James puppets out now because thaey need them. David Stern needs to start endorsing Kobe and Lebron like he did Magic and Bird. What I saw last night was outstanding basketball by the San Antonio Spurs and that is why they have won four Championships. What this tells you is that America would rather dream still than face reality when people would rather see if Sam Bradford is going to be the number one pick that to see if the Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder could beat the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant in LA two phenomenal games but they were still Ben Roethlisberger and the NFL draft took all story lines why is that? Marketing if you look at what the NFL and NBA are doing bsaketball players should have a tremendous advantage because the fan can actually see you and recgnize you. The NFL they wear helmets and 90% of the fans only know their number and have no idea what they look like. My call to the NBA is fire your marketing director.

The Masters

This was one of the most impressive first day at the Masters that I have seen in a very long time. All the former Champions played well even the old school got into the mix. What Tom Watson and Fred Couples were able to do today was history making for their age. Tiger Woods after beiong out for 144 days to have that kind of first round I know has the rest of the field thinking, Phil Mickelson played excellent with alot of other players in red numbers. Sergio Garcia has me concerned about his mental approach because he looked like he was just going through the motions not good if you want to be a Major Champion. I tip my hat to all the players for a well played round one.

Xavier Womens Basketball

That was a heartbreaking loss last night for Xavier. To be so close yet so far away having missed 1 and 1 by an 83% free throw shooter to two missed lay-ups in the final seconds of the game. That was the ultimate game of size versus speed because Stanford kept pounding them and they kept playing hard. When they look back on this game it will take them one of two ways. They will come back with avengence next year for redemption or they could become vulnerable in pressure situations. Dee Dee Jernigan needs to be counseled and Kevin McGuff should sit down and have a heart to heart with her. She is mentally unstable right now if you saw her after the game. At this point in her life and at that age she needs reassurance and comfort from teammates (who should not alienate her) because if you watched after the play it took the coach to lift her up her teammates were like left her there and that can't be a good feeling Dee Dee Jernigan I wish you all the luck in your future endeavors.
